GENERAL INFORMATION

The viewer starts off sounds by his movements close to the sculpture.
The sounds originate from different kinds of wild animals and a musical
instrument.

The sculpture is made of the root of a fruit-tree, the base is likewise made
of wood.

TECHNICAL REALIZATION

The sensors are light depended resistors “LDR” sensitive to light inserted into the wood (Ø 7 and 10 mm). They react to light and shadow the viewer induces by his movements.

The changes in voltage of the “LDR” are transmitted to a computer and then to the sound modules.

WISSENSWERTES

Der Betrachter löst in unmittelbarer Umgebung der Plastik durch seine
Bewegungen Töne aus. Die hörbaren Klänge stammen von verschiedenen
Arten von Wildtieren sowie einem Musikinstrument.

Die Plastik ist aus Holz (Obstbaum). Der Sockel ist ebenfalls aus Holz.

TECHNISCHE AUSFÜHRUNG

Die Sensoren sind im Holz eingefasste lichtempfindliche Widerstände (LDR) (x 7 u. 10 mm). Sie reagieren auf Licht und Schatten die der Betrachter durch seine Körperbewegungen auslöst.

Die Spannungsveränderungen der LDR’s werden über eine angepasste
Elektronik an einen Computer und an zwei Soundmodule weitergeleitet.

PRÉSENTATION

Le spectateur, par ses mouvements dans le voisinage immédiat de la
plastique, provoque des sons. Les sons qu’on entend proviennent de divers espèces d’animaux sauvages ansi que d’un instrument de musique africain.

La plastique et en bois (fruitier). Le socle est également en bois.

RÉALISATION TECHNIQUE

Les capteurs sont constitués de résistances sensibles à la lumière (LDR)
encastrés dans le bois. Dimensions des résistances: (Ø 7 and 10 mm).

Ils réagissent à la lumière et à l’ombre que provoquent les mouvements du spectateur.
